So... I Got This Church-Shaped Lamp for My Cousin’s Engagement Gift. Mixed Feelings. 😅
Okay sooo I bought this “Luce Memorial Church” style night lamp thing as a gift. Looked super aesthetic online, ya know, all soft light and meaningful shape and stuff. Kinda screamed sentimental but artsy — which is what I was going for.
But like... there’s always a but.
✅ First off — it’s not bad.
The actual lamp is solid. Nice feel, no cracks, color’s clean, and the glow at night looks cozy as hell. So credit where credit’s due.
😐 But let me get real for a sec:
1. There’s 2 weird holes under the base.
Like, dead center. Not huge, but kinda noticeable if you flip it over. Messaged customer service, they said it’s “air bubbles” from production. Uhh… sure? But they’re perfectly placed holes. Either this is a very weird coincidence or someone just doesn’t wanna call it a defect. 😅
2. There’s glue on the control wire.
Yeah. Just a little black sticky mark where the cord meets the lamp. It’s not massive but... c’mon. This is supposed to be a gift. What if I shipped it straight to someone? That’s not great first impression material, y’know?
3. The switch looks... cheap.
I’m just sayin'. The plastic button kinda gives “dollar store flashlight” vibes. Doesn’t match the rest of the gift-y feel. Small detail, but details matter.
🤔 Would I buy again?
Maybe.
The lamp itself is pretty and meaningful, especially if the person you give it to is into architecture or has any connection to Taiwan or Christian symbolism. But bro, they gotta tighten up the finishing details if they’re marketing this as a “premium gift.”
📦 TL;DR:
-
Aesthetic? Yes
-
Quality control? Eh...
-
Worth it? Kinda
-
Perfect? Nope
Anyway, just my honest 2 cents. Hope they improve it cause it could be a 10/10 product.
